The City of Houston maintains a database of email subscribers who request information on various topics such as emergency management, special events, Public Works & Engineering (PWE) department updates, and more. I was charged with composing PWE eBlasts which were sent out citywide via the CitizensNet application. Below is an eBlast I wrote for the Clinton Drive Reconstruction Project.

Cinton Drive Reconstruction Project – Segment 1
The Clinton Drive Reconstruction Project – Segment 1 will improve streets that have deteriorated beyond normal maintenance and repair. This approximately $8.3 million improvement project, which runs along Clinton Drive near Japhet and Lathrop, 77011, began in December 2014 and is anticipated to be complete in February 2016.
The Clinton Drive Reconstruction Project – Segment 1 strives to improve traffic circulation, mobility and drainage in the area by constructing a 48-foot undivided roadway that will have two lanes running in each direction. Additional enhancements include removing and repaving the existing roadway with 11-inch concrete pavement; as well as 6-inch curbs.
The ReBuild Houston Initiative is the City of Houston’s voter approved pay-as-you-go plan to rebuild drainage and street infrastructure. Its goal is to improve the quality of life and mobility for residents through the reconstruction and proper maintenance of drainage and street improvements. The Clinton Drive Reconstruction Project is an active example of ReBuild Houston at work to better serve you.
