As of mid-December, I’ve officially completed the first semester of my International Studies graduate program at the University of St. Thomas. I’ve been anxiously awaiting the posting of grades and finally, much to my delight, I received two A’s. What does this mean? It means I have a 4.0 GPA. Sure, I’m only one semester in but you’ve got to celebrate the small successes.

Needless to say, I’m ecstatic and looking forward to my next class, which is a study abroad in Taiwan on Contemporary Taiwanese Politics and Culture. I leave for two weeks on January 1, 2018. I’ll be blogging about my experiences in Taiwan daily, so keep an eye out.

Also, I need to give a quick shout out to the University of St. Thomas. I have been utterly impressed with the University. During the semester, Houston had a little storm, Hurricane Harvey. Perhaps you’ve may have heard of it?? <insert sarcasm here> Anyhow, Houston was truly devastated by Harvey and St. Thomas was amazing during that difficult time. As a public relations person myself, their messaging and efforts were 100% on point. Go St. Thomas!
